New Park & Ride to serve north metro commuters
If you’re commuting to downtown Minneapolis from the north metro, you now have another option to park your car and hop on!
Starting May 5, Route 288 will serve the new Running Aces Park & Ride lot, located just off I-35 in Columbus. Park your car at one of the 300 free spaces at the Park & Ride and hop on a Route 288 coach bus for fast service to downtown.
With the opening of the new Park & Ride, we’re adding more service on Route 288, a demonstration project that ends in December. Pick from six morning trips to downtown and five afternoon trips each weekday. One-way trips cost $2.75 – or $2 for trips that leave before 6 a.m.
Route 288 also serves the Park & Ride at Forest Lake Transit Center.
Note: Trip times for Route 288 will change starting May 5, so make sure you pick up a new printed schedule for details.
