Hours of operation & frequency
Trains operate roughly between 4 a.m. and 1 a.m. Trains depart every seven minutes during rush hours; service at other times is less frequent.

How to ride
If you're a first-time rider, click here
- Pay your fare before boarding the train (see fare options).
- Wait behind the yellow line on the platform until the train stops completely. Push the blue button to open the door, waiting for others to get off the train first.
- Take a seat, and keep your proof of payment available to show to a
fare inspector if asked. Certain seats are designated for seniors and
people with disabilities. Please surrender these seats when they are
needed by these customers.
Strollers and non-motorized bicycles are welcome on trains. Each train has racks to accommodate four bikes. - Trains will stop at every station. When you reach your station, push the blue button on the door to exit.

Park & Ride lots
There are more than 2,000 free parking spaces near light-rail stations. NOTE: Overnight parking is not permitted at Metro Transit Park & Ride lots. There are no Park & Ride spaces at Mall of America.
Lake Street/Midtown Station (170 spaces)
There are 170 spaces at Anishinabe School, located southwest of the rail station. Enter the lot at 23rd Avenue South and East 31st Street. View map
Fort Snelling Station (1,080 spaces)
To reach the lot, exit Highway 55 at Bloomington Road and follow signs to the parking areas (south side and west side of Whipple Building). View map
28th Avenue Station (790 spaces)
The parking lot is located three blocks east of Mall of America on 28th Avenue South at 82nd Street. There are no Park & Ride spaces at Mall of America.
Note: The south lot is closed at this station for ramp construction. Additional parking is available in a temporary lot across 28th Avenue South. View map
