It's fast, it's easy and it's inexpensive
U of M students have access to one of the best deals in town: the U-Pass. With a U-Pass, you get unlimited rides on buses and light rail* at any time, on any route, for under $100 for the whole semester. That works out to about $6 per week!

There are more than 35 bus routes traveling to the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses with METRO Blue Line (Hiawatha) service just blocks from the West Bank campus. Work is underway on the Green Line (Central Corridor) light-rail project, which will travel through the heart of the East Bank campus on Washington Avenue beginning in 2014. Days of operation
Most limited-stop and express bus service to the University operates on weekdays only. Consult your route's schedule for the exact days of operation. There is no service on official University holidays when offices are closed and classes are excused.
Get a Go-To Card
If you aren't eligible for a U-Pass or Metropass, you can still save money with a Go-To Card. Use your card again and again – when the value gets low, simply add stored value or a 7-Day or 31-Day Pass. Get your Go-To Card online or pick one up at the Coffman Information Desk.
Where to buy other fare cards
Buy SuperSavers on campus at: Moos Tower, West Bank Skyway Store, Williamson Hall Bookstore, St. Paul Student Center and Fairview - University Medical Center Ticket Office. SuperSaver Stored Value Cards are sold at Metro Transit stores and at retail outlets around town. You can also buy SuperSavers online with a credit card or order by mail.
Huron Station
Huron Station, located on I-94 at Huron Boulevard, is the gateway to the U for east-metro commuters. All westbound express buses on I-94 stop on demand at Huron Station between roughly 7:30 and 10 a.m. (check your schedule for specific trips). To get off at Huron Station, signal the driver well before the stop. At the station, transfer to Route 50 for service to the heart of campus.
